Microsoft to Cut Boxed Vista Price

Microsoft will cut the price of some versions of its boxed Windows Vista after court filings revealed internal dissent over which Windows XP computers would be capable of running the new operating system. One executive said the company “botched” the marketing of computers as “Vista Capable.”

Federal Court to Put Information in Your Pocket

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago said that next month it will become the first federal court to provide people with access to court information, such as staff phone numbers and motion calls, on hand-held devices.

Windows Server 2008 Lifts Off

Microsoft launched Windows Server 2008, but analysts said the version is an incremental update rather than a giant leap forward, with “no single feature that says, ‘I gotta have it.’” Notably absent from the server launch is a final version of its virtual machine technology, Hyper-V.

Google Debuts Web Site Creation Tool
