Dismissal Of Claims Against Remaining Defendants In Managed Care MDL Recommended
MIAMI - A Florida federal magistrate judge on Feb. 25 recommended dismissal of claims against the remaining Blue Cross companies in the managed care multidistrict litigation, saying the plaintiffs did not plead the predicate Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) crimes of mail and wire fraud with adequate specificity (In Re Managed Care Litigation, Master File 00-1334-MD-MORENO; Rick Love, M.D., et al. v. Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, et al., No. 03-21296, S.D. Fla.; See 7/2/08, Page 25).
