LEM Claimants Seek Lift Of Stay To Pursue Claims; Insurers Oppose
BALTIMORE - Claimants in Lloyd E. Mitchell’s (LEM) Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case pending in Maryland moved separately to have the automatic stay of the bankruptcy court lifted so the trials of their personal injury causes of action can proceed in state court. LEM’s insurers have opposed the motion, while LEM says the relief requested is supported by case law (In re: Lloyd E. Mitchell Inc., No. 06-13250, D. Md. Bkcy.).
