Scottish Lord Stays 7 Cases Seeking Damages For Pleural Plaques Anxiety
EDINBURGH, Scotland - A Scottish lord on June 12 granted a request by various defendants named in an asbestos action to stay seven cases seeking damages for anxiety caused by an asymptomatic asbestos-related condition, pending the resolution of a law that would allow compensation for pleural plaques in Scotland (Leonard Allison v. Henry Robb Limited, et al., No. [2009] CSOH 83, Scottish Sess.).
